The Research-Backed Claims Dashboard

From fragmented data to a trusted system that unified Research, Marketing, and Legal.

  • Before 2024, there was no defined process or shared system for approving research-backed claims across Legal, Marketing, and Research.

Teams relied on fragmented data points and unvetted language in marketing materials, sales enablement decks, RFPs, and external communications, or avoided citing research altogether to prevent compliance risk or simply because they did not know the claims existed.

  • Recognizing this gap, I took it upon myself to build the first-ever cross-functional claims framework and approval process, ultimately designing and launching the Approved Research-Backed Claims Dashboard, a living system that operationalized how data becomes story across the organization.

The dashboard was organized by product and portfolio, highlighting the:

    • exact approved wording for the claim, ensuring accuracy and maximum impact

    • relevant citations where needed to support the claims

    • sources and explanations as to how the claim was researched & developed

    • approval from Research, Legal, and Marketing

    • dates approved & updated

  • The results were widespread and long-lasting:

    • 90% reduction in misused or outdated statistics across internal and external materials.

    • 11× increase in the number of validated, research-backed claims available for use across all products.

    • Mass adoption: The dashboard became a company-wide source of truth, referenced daily by Marketing, Sales, PR, and Product teams.

    • Exponential increase in the presence of approved claims in brand, campaign, and sales assets.

    • Cultural shift: Elevated research from a background validator to a strategic storytelling partner across the organization.
